Ganakrama

In gitas, the compositions are sung from beginning to end without repeating the avartas. If a gita consists of two sections as in Kamalajadala (Kalyani), the second section is sung after the first section. In jatisvaras and svarajatis, which have the sections, pallavi, anupallavi and charana, the pallavi is first sung and is followed by the anupallavi. The pallavi is repeated after this and then the charana is sung. The charanas are sung in their sequential order and at the conclusion of each, the pallavi is repeated.
